Visiting a trade show display can be an exciting and fun activity. When organizations sponsor conferences and provide an opportunity for attendees to visit vendors, the exhibit area is usually packed with individuals who want to sample the vendor’s wares or get a look at the latest trends. Usually, the exhibits that draw the most attention are those that are designed in an attractive manner, welcoming and speak to the consumer.
How an exhibit “speaks” to the consumer?
When buyers or consumers visit trade shows they come with purpose, but also with open minds. They may be loyal to a particular product line and come with the intention of seeing what’s new in that brand. However, they are also willing to see what the competition has to offer. By having an exhibit or a pop up display that speaks to the consumer, a vendor can attract more business. For example if a vendor is selling bathroom fixtures, the consumer needs to be able to see themselves in a bathroom with those fixtures. As much as possible the vendor needs to design an exhibit that has the look and feel of a well-appointed bathroom. Accessorizing exhibit space in such a way helps the consumer visualize how the fixtures would look in their own homes.
Using special trade show flooring treatments can also enhance your exhibit area. Floor covering can help define an exhibit space and give visitors a feel of entering a room. Other touches that enhance an exhibit area include green plants such as ferns which can be used to fill in empty spaces and corners. This brings character and warmth to an exhibit area.
Providing information that trade show attendees can take with them is another way to accessorize and exhibit. Literature racks placed in convenient areas where visitors can pick up booklets or brochures will enable visitors to get a look at a vendor’s products even if they don’t have a lot of time to spend looking at an exhibit.
